Every country is waiting for the World Cup to start. The group stage has been set. The tournament starts on 20th November, Sunday. There is an opening ceremony and the first match to be played between Qatar and Ecuador. The final is due to be played on December 18,(Sunday)
The first match in Group A will be played on Nov 20 at Al Bayt Stadium where the hosts play with Ecuador in Group A.The second match in Group B will be played on Nov 21 at 1 pm,UK time where England will face Iran.
The final will be played at the Lusail Stadium in Doha on 18th December.
One of the stronger teams in Group A is Senegal. In Group F, Canada will face off against Morocco and Croatia in a battle for second place behind Belgium.
The most successful nation in the tournament is Brazil, with five titles. France are expected to finish top in their group and have a good chance to play aggressively to enter into knockout rounds.
The deadline for all 32 countries to submit their squad is Monday Nov 14.
Group games will be held across eight stadia, Al Bayt Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium,Al Thumama Stadium, Education City Stadium, Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, Lusail Stadium, Ras Abu Aboud Stadium, and Al Janoub Stadium all located there.
